• What is SHAINY AI?

  SHAINY AI is an app for Mac and Windows that gives you an AI teammate. You send it messages from a chat app you already use, and it does the work on your own computer — drafting replies and documents, keeping task lists, and preparing estimates or summaries. Anything that would reach other people waits for your OK. SHAINY AI is not open yet; you can join the waitlist.

• What can my AI teammate do?

  It can draft emails, messages, estimates, invoices, posts and job ads; summarize documents you give it; keep a running task list and follow up on what you asked for; and organize files in its workspace. You choose a ready-made role, such as Chief of Staff, Bookkeeper or Researcher, and give it a name. Some connections — email, calendar, web access and scheduled check-ins — are coming soon.

• How is this different from a chat assistant?

  A chat assistant answers inside its own conversation window. SHAINY AI is a teammate you message from Slack, Telegram or Discord, and it works on your computer with the files in its workspace, keeps track of ongoing tasks, and asks before it acts. It can use your own Claude subscription as its AI. See the comparison page for details.

• Which computers does it run on?

  Mac and Windows. Your teammate runs in a private workspace on your computer while the computer is on. If the app or the computer restarts, your teammate starts again by itself.

• Do I need to use a terminal or edit config files?

  No. You install the app, sign in to your AI, and choose which chat app to connect with buttons.

• Which chat apps can I use?

  Slack, Telegram and Discord. WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, email and more are coming soon.

• Where is my data stored?

  Your teammate's files and conversation history stay on your computer, in its workspace. Our servers handle your account, your subscription and whether your teammate is running — not the content of your conversations. Messages you send also pass through the chat app you use, and the AI model you choose processes them under that provider's terms.

• Can it see everything on my computer?

  No. It works inside its own workspace folder. Put the files you want it to use there.

• Can I use my own AI subscription?

  Yes. You can sign in with your own Claude subscription with one button, or use the AI included in paid plans. Connecting other AI providers or an API key is coming soon.

• Will it send emails or messages without asking?

  No. Anything that reaches other people, spends money, or deletes files waits for your OK. You see a draft first, then approve, edit or decline it.

• How much does it cost?

  Free is $0: bring your own AI with no task limit, or use our AI for 30 tasks a month. Pro is $29 per month, or $20 per month billed yearly, and includes 200 tasks a month with our AI. Max is $99 per month with 600 tasks. Team is $29 per user per month. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial and then renew automatically.

• How do I cancel?

  Cancel anytime from the app. You can keep using your teammate until the end of the period you have already paid for. Before you start a trial, the confirmation screen shows when the trial ends, the monthly price after that, and how to cancel.

• Is my data used to train AI models?

  SHAINY AI does not train AI models on your conversations. If you connect your own AI subscription, that provider's data settings apply — you can check them in your account with that provider.

• Which languages does it support?

  This website is available in 14 languages. Your teammate replies in the language you write to it in.

• What happens when my computer is off?

  Your teammate pauses. When the computer is back on, it starts again and catches up on messages sent while it was offline, where the chat app allows it.

• When can I start?
